FiberARTS Volume 36 Number 2

Jane Zweibel’s artwork Self-Portrait Praying #1 is on the cover of the september/october 2009 issue of the FiberARTS magazine and Jane’s stuffed paintings are the subject of the feature on page 36.

The contribution is signed by Leigh Anne Miller. She says : “In her quest to blur the boundaries between painting and sculpture, Jane Zweibel creates intriguing doll-like and darkly narrative forms in fiber”.

For thirty years, FiberARTS has covered the best and most interesting work in basketry, fiber, knitting, needlework, papermaking, quilting, sculpture, surface design, wearable art and weaving.

Fiberarts was started in 1975 by Rob Pulleyn and Kate Mathews, in the back of their yarn shop in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is now published by Interweave Press, a unit of Aspire Media, one of the leading craft media companies in USA.

Jane Zweibel will have her second exhibition in Luxembourg in december 2009 and she will participate in a workshop for children organised by the gallery.
