Fellowship award from Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to Angelou GUINGON

Angelou Guingon received a fellowship award from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in the professional painting category. The juror for the professional fellowship awards was Joanna Marsh, curator of Contemporary art at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is an educational institution of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Angelou was featured in the issue 3, vol.1 of Oranges & Sardines, a quarterly review presenting in equal portions the visual arts, poetry, short stories and informed essays on the arts, published by Poets and Artists.

He is also profiled in vol.75 (Mid Atlantic Region) of the New American Paintings, published by the Open Studios Press, Wellesley, MA.
