Catherine Ryan's drawings investigate the relationships that exist between humans and the natural world, and the tension created when wild creatures are viewed in close proximity with mankind.

Catherine Ryan's dark observations on life (and death) utilize animals as symbols, while at the same time raising questions about man's role as predator and consumer.
