My favorite artist : Help

1. First Visit

If you arrive the first time on the website My Favorite Artist you will see the webpage at the left with a Facebook login button at the right top corner.

If you click on this button and if you are logged into Facebook, a window showing your Facebook profile picture and your name will popup and provide you with some informations about the Facebook Connect procedure.

If you click the Connect button, you will login to the My Favorite Artist application.

2. Login

If you are not logged into Facebook at your first or at your following visits, a window asking your Facebook credentials (email and password) will popup. Your data privacy is guaranteed. This application uses the official Facebook Connect Application Programming Interface (API) in a trusted environment to send the results to Facebook without registrating any personal data and without caching the webpage.

Your Facebook profile picture and your name are displayed in the upper corner of the My First Artist application to welcome you. You are now logged in both to Facebook and to My Favorite Artist. With the logout link yo can logout from both applications. If you are logged into Facebook the next time when you visit te My favorite Artist website, you are automatically identified and welcomed.

3. Webpage update

After the succesful login, the webpage introduction is updated with a welcome message, a publish button and a logout button.

4. Publish your choice

Select your favorite artist which suits your mood today by pushing the corresponding radio button and click the "Publish my choice to Facebook" button.
A popup window shows you the content that will be published to your Facebook wall and to the Facebook homepage of your friends. Push the "Publish" button to confirm.
If you push the "skip" button, the publishing process will be aborted.
In both cases you will be redirected to your Facebook profile page.

5. View your story

After a succesful publishing, you are redirected to you Facebook profile page and the story with your favorite artist is displayed on the top of your wall.

The same story is displayed on the Facebook homepage of your friends if they have activated the right permissions.

6. Check your Facebook settings

Go to the menu Settings > Applications Settings > Show:authorized on your Facebook homepage to show My Favorite Artist in the list of applications. You can delete the application, edit the settings or goto the profile page of My Favorite Artist.

If you deselect the publishing permission, the next time you try to share your favorite artist with your friends, you will be redirected to your Facebook profile page without publishing the story.
However you will not receive an error message or a failure notice.

7. Become a fan

Visit the My Favorite Artist application profile page on Facebook to see who is using the application and to get some informations about the activities.

If you like the application My Favorite Artist, check the "Become a Fan" link and put it to your favorites in the list of applications..
